About the Butter Factory
Housed in a large red brick ex-butter factory, difficult to miss as one heads into Myrtleford from the mountains. The building has retained a turn-of-the-century industrial charm, and has gob-smacking views towards Mt Buffalo.
The Menu
The menu stretches from breakfast to dinner, with cakes in between. Think toasted granola with poached rhubarb and organic milk, or fig and hazelnut French toast with orange blossom honey for breakfast. The lunch and dinner menus always include pan-fried Black Range trout fillets with verjuice, dill and butter sauce, and orange and fennel salad; or Wyuna Poll Hereford, braised in red wine with potatoes, button mushrooms and baby onions. Fresh pasta dishes, and a 'tasting plate' filled with a variety of goodies, are always available.
